Thai luxe treatment at Panpuri Spa
I first saw the brand a few years back in Lane Crawford and thought their creams and bath oils smelt divine. Specially the Jasmine moisturiser. Fast forward to 2016 and I book a long awaited visit to the Panpuri Spa in Gaysorn, Bangkok.
The Summertime Essential package seemed to be the best value because it included a welcome foot soak, a 45 mins body scrub, 90 mins massage and a 30 mins express treatment at 3950THB! I recommend going there 15 mins ahead of the reservation to take a look at their products and understand the different treatments, they will let you choose the treatment before leading you to your room.
My pick was:
1) 45mins Organic powder body scrub
2) 90mins Organic Mali Moonlight Soothing Massage (their most popular one!)
3) 30mins Indian head massage - since it was head or foot and I get foot massages regularly, it was a no-brainer!
1) Organic powder body scrub
This was basically a luxurious skin polisher that uses a blend of fine organic powder scrub combined with Panpuri's organic oil to remove dead skin cells. The therapist gently exfoliated my body, making sure it wasn't too rough on my skin and it felt softer after the treatment. I went for a quick rinse in the room's shower, before coming back out to the 2nd part of the treatment
2) Organic Mali Moonlight Soothing Massage
I love all Panpuri jasmine products, so once I found out that this massage used their jasmine infused oils, it was an easy decision. I understood why this was one of their most popular massages because it was a truly relaxing experience using Thai massage and aromatherapy techniques to completely relax you. Surrendering to the therapist's skilled hands, I dozed off during the massage and did not want the massage to end.
3) 30mins Indian head massage
For the last segment of this divine Panpuri experience, they used warm organic oils to slowly release tension from my mind and body. It was too short a head massage and I could have easily done another hour of it. To those with migraines, a good dose of head massage has been known to help relieve it.
Sipping tea in their spa, I couldn't help but take a look at the various products in the store. Taking a whiff of the scents I kept to my favourite jasmine and left with 3 items in their Siamese Water collection (the Panpuri jasmine scent) - Uplifting hair cleanser, Uplifting body cream, Uplifting hair conditioner and the Come clean anti-oxidant milk bath and body massage oil which again contains elements of jasmine.
Will certainly book myself a reservation the next time I make my way to Bangkok, hopefully not too long away.
