A fresh & revitalising treatment to beat jetlag at Infinity Spa

The moment I confirmed my Bangkok trip, I knew a spa visit wouldn't be amiss! After a bit of research (blogs, world of mouth & Tripadvisor - ranked #4 out of 419 spas in Bangkok!), Infinity Spa rated high for their level of service, treatment offerings and modern design aesthetics, not to mention their reasonable prices, making it all very tempting.

Walking into the spa, the high ceilings, bright spacious environment, soothing and fresh colour palette, did not disappoint. After a day of shopping, Infinity Spa was a great way to unwind before heading back to the hotel. We made our reservation by email for 6pm to accommodate for our 3 hr spa sessions.

Thankfully the spa was easy to find, while we took a cab (here's a tip: Uber is really much easier and sometimes costs less than a cab ride) the spa can also be reached after a short walk from the nearest BTS, both Saphan Taksin and Surasak stations are relatively close to Infinity Spa.

Warmly greeted by the friendly front desk staff and manager, we were seated and asked to confirm our treatment of the day. My friend Bowie and I chose the Jet lag package which consisted of:

  • Natural body scrub 30mins
  • Infinity aroma massage 90 mins
  • Infinity Jet lag facial by Thalgo 60mins (promising awakened, firmer and radiant skin!)

Our friend Margaret opted for two massage treatments – Infinity Aroma and Infinity Thai – for double the dosage.

Bowie and I started off by choosing the scrub from 3 options, all concocted by the Infinity Spa team! While Seaweed had a great scent, Tamarind was sweet and reminded me of Thai cooking, I finally went with Green Tea because the scent was divine and would be gentle to slough off dead skin as I have sensitive skin.

Next we got to select the aroma oil, another in-house product, that would be used for the body massage. I had a hard time picking as I was tied between the Detox oil (lemongrass and pink grapefruit) and Energize (geranium and citrus fruits). My final pick was Energize but I'll love to try detox oils the next time I visit.

After a foot soak we headed to our private treatment rooms. The moment my therapist started massaging the Green Tea body scrub across my body I knew I was in good hands. She firmly kneaded rhythmically, which gave me a teaser of how my actual massage would feel like. After a quick rinse, (sad to say there wasn't hot water that day so I had a cold blast) to get all the scrub off, she expertly kneaded away, focusing on my neck, shoulders and lower back - places I had requested special attention when the staff had asked prior to our treatment.

I dozed off and realised the facial had begun. Using French skincare brand, Thalgo's marine skincare products are derived from marine algae, plant and fruit extracts, I enjoyed the overall experience and definitely felt a glow when leaving the spa. The only issue I had was a slight reaction to the products on my lips which were slightly swollen a few days prior.

As a parting treat, we were served mango and sticky rice dessert which was a lovely end to our spa session.

The hospitality of the spa is definitely worth mentioning, we were even given restaurants tips to make sure we would be well fed after 9pm!
